I got a lot of information about France from the late Middle Ages to 1789 in this week’s lecture. At that time, France was an absolute monarchy, and the monarch had the highest power. I saw portraits of French kings from the lecture, including Louis XIV, Louis XV, and Louis XVI. I learn the costume and style of the French king from the portrait. I like the oil printing of Antione Jean-Gros,Napoleon Visiting the Plague House of Jaffa, 1804. From the painting, I can see Napoleon, accompanied by his officer, stroking a patient. I think Napoleon in the picture is very bright, with light and color accentuating him. https://prnt.sc/1vdaksc
